On the way back from Gersinho's math contest, their car breaks down and Cassandra is forced to ask her father for help. While Gersinho and Leide are happy to meet Lourenço, Cassandra is shaken by the reunion, and her idealized view of her mother begins to crumble.

In São Paulo, Cassandra goes back to her family of choice and resumes her frantic work life. She also meets with Ivaldo.
